ECP Organizations
The ESRI Conservation Program (ECP) has provided grants and ongoing assistance to
over 2,000 organizations worldwide, too many to list on one page anymore.
Therefore, the List of ECP Organizations has been reorganized into the
"GIS Resources" section visible at the upper right of the ECP
home page. Here you will find most of the 2,000 organizations listed along
with partner organizations and other GIS resources. In addition, certain
groups are profiled in detail in the "GIS Stories" section underneath
the "GIS Resources" list. At the local level, ECP has been responsible
for providing many small organizations of limited or no resources the training,
support, software and equipment needed to start creating their own GIS
programs. The ECP has also worked extensively in developing appropriate
technologies and training programs for GIS so that groups with no access
to reliable power or expert help can begin to create their own GIS program,
sometimes starting with using manual techniques.
