SCGIS 2017 Scholar Program Frequently Asked Questions:
Deadlines: are set independently by each chapter/mentor/reviewer but generally speaking applicant deadlines will be between Dec15 and Dec 30, 2016 for the EFN "early decision" funding, and between Jan 1 and Jan 30, 2017 for the standard funding.
Can I apply to BOTH the new EFN program funding and the traditional program? ABSOLUTELY! EFN is just an earlier deadline, for the specific list of countries listed in the application form. If you are in one of those countries and you get your application returned in time for the "EARLY DECISION - EFN" deadline then you are automatically applied to both EFN and Standard programs
Backup Email Addresses for questions: Your chapter or mentor are the primary place to go for questions as they are running the spplications process in each region. If however you are not able to get your questions answered from them you can contact Mervyn Lotter, firstname.lastname@example.org, or Abu Diyan: email@example.com . ..or SCGIS Int'l Committee email; firstname.lastname@example.org
